Description of Work

 

ATSI provides labor, supervision, management support, transportation, equipment, and materials to successfully accomplish the Veterans Affairs Aseptic Hospital Environmental Housekeeping Services contract for 86,000 square feet of combined spaces.   The Homeless Veterans Service Center incorporates 50 residential beds, residential and medical care and substance abuse spaces, full kitchen, and administrative offices.  The facility is over 40,000 square feet.  The Regional Office Center is a joint venture business office with the Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense.  The Medical clinic is a primary care facility with pharmacy, surgical clinic, social services office, dental and prosthesis, lab, and x-ray departments.  The third floor consists of all the administrative offices. ATSI employs Executive Housekeepers, Registered Assistant Executive Housekeepers, Shift Leaders and Housekeeping Aides that have extensive training and are very knowledgeable about the services industry and all the special considerations pertaining to ‘clean-room’ attention to detail.

Special Considerations

Staying ahead of rapid and, often times, unpredictable changing patient occupancies so as to ensure the cleanliness of the rooms and occupant shared and common areas.  ATSI has developed standardized Policy and Procedures Manuals that are constantly revised and kept current.  Material Safety and Data Sheets are developed so that housekeeping knows what the approved chemicals are for cleaning and disinfecting and the proper mixtures and usage techniques.  Staffing (day, night, and weekend) charts and schedules are designed so that a reliable plan is in place to accommodate the ever changing needs.  Back-up persons are scheduled in case of emergency or if someone is unable to report for duty.  These methodologies and practices have been, in large, responsible for the organized and professional manner in which ATSI performs its services.  ATSI personnel are available 24/7 and can respond to any special need on very short notice. ATSI continually exceeds our client’s expectations.  This is representative and evidenced by the many letters that we receive from the government and from the medical staff, and hospital administrators.
